In flowers, the system of reproduction is like humans. The male organs on the plants will release pollen into the atmosphere and letting the wind carry it to wherever it may. Then, once the pollen lands on a female organ, the organ will take it in and combine it with is own genetic material to make a seed. When it is done making the seeds, they will be released into the wind, to land somewhere, grow, and repeat the process for an indefinate amount of time.
I interveiwed Jack Panighetti for story of the seed #5. first question, what surprised you during the year? Jack: I was surprised when we saw the onion cell under the mircoscope. Will: what was the hardest project we've done so far? Jack: the hardest project I've done so far is when we repaired and painted the chicken coop. it was difficult because my partners did'nt show up some times and the hay was hard to get out. Will: what have you learned about growing plants? Jack: Over time I have learned that the plants need time to grow and you have to check up on them to make sure the weeds are not stealing water from our plants. Will: that's the end of our interveiw, thanks.
